This plug without stopper is perfect for fountains and washbasins without an overflow. This is because it prevents the basin or fountain basin from overflowing. Of course, this does mean that you cannot close the drain to let the basin fill up. The size, 1.1/4 inch, is standard and fits all common siphons.
