What is a control panel?
A control panel, also known as a pressure plate, is an essential part of a hanging toilet.
This panel, often equipped with push buttons, activates the toilet's flushing function. Some modern control panels even use infrared technology, where a sensor automatically flushes the toilet when you stand up.
Choice of control panel for your concealed cistern
The choice of a control panel is closely related to the type of cistern. Brands such as Geberit and TECE offer actuating plates specifically tailored to their cisterns. For example, certain Geberit actuating plates fit specific Geberit cisterns, and the same goes for TECE.
For example, for the Geberit Up100 concealed cistern, the Delta 21, 50 and 51 control plates are suitable.
For Grohe Rapid SL concealed cisterns, you can choose from the Cosmo Dual Flush and Rapid SL Dual Flush actuating panels.
Colour variations in control panels
Forget boring, white control panels; colourful options are now in fashion! Available in various colours, such as white, black, chrome, stainless steel, copper, stone-look, gold, and nickel, these panels add a personal touch to your toilet.
One or two flush buttons?
Control panels come with one or two flush buttons. One button offers a standard flush for all needs, while two buttons give the choice between a small flush for urine and a larger one for stool, which helps save water.
Materials of control plates
The choice of materials is diverse: plastic, stainless steel, brass, and even glass.
This offers not only a range of aesthetic options, but also variation in durability and ease of maintenance.
